PROFILES
Written for the Report of My friend(Mherlyn Masaido)
I want to start my Profile by my motto: “Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up”. My inspiration from the words of Thomas Edison. I always look at life in a very positive way. It’s my drive to be more determined in everything that I do. Being optimistic is one thing I can be proud of. I never gave negative feelings the chance to come in my way . Obstacles come and go but I don’t lose my courage in fighting. I put in my mind that I can overcome every single trial in my daily living.
I am a simple person with big dreams. I am a family oriented person. My family is my number one inspiration in my life. My aspirations and my accomplishments in life are always in dedication for my family. My mother is a Police Enforcer, business oriented person, disciplinarian, not so strict but very vocal in terms of responsibility and management both in school and at home. My father is a retired banker. He’s a one-word man. He talks very frequent but precise and true. I have two brothers and one sister, all professional. During the earlier days, being the eldest of the four siblings, I became mature esp. in the decision making. My mother used to teach me how to be responsible esp. doing the household chores. From cooking to cleaning the house and from gardening to washing the plates. That is why, until now, I am so independent in everything. I can manage myself even without supervision because of the things that my parents taught me.
I am a God fearing person. I have gained such value from the school to which I’ve studied for almost 15 years and from my parents who are always there to nourish me with good values. With that, I learned to respect other people, to be honest in everything that I do, and to be humble in many ways. I am also people oriented person. I enjoy talking to people. Conversing with them, I gained knowledge. I learned many things from A-Z from talking to different kinds of people. I am very friendly; this is one trait I am very certain of. Not every individual are born to be friendly, I believe. I can easily adjust to different kinds of people and place. I am very outgoing and energetic. I enjoy doing things and that makes me active everyday.
Every person has his strong points. I believe my strength is my personality. I have the skill to communicate both orally and written and mingle with different kinds of people. I am a work-oriented person. I have values such as love of work, respect to other people and determination to succeed in everything I do. I have skills that can be very useful to the work field that I’ll be getting into. One is hosting. I host events like parties and that involves talking and organizing. I have been a peer counselor during my school days and that gave the opportunity to hear other people concerns like emotional problems. My being a counselor helped me motivate other people and it’s a big factor for any sales person to have that skill. If there are strong points, we also have some weak points. I believe, we can never really tell the kind of person that we become if we do not see our weaker side. I tend to work hard and forget I have to give ample time to myself. Well, I consider that a somehow as a weak side. Everything in life should be balanced. To accomplish everything you have to balance yourself. Time management is very important. You have to manage your time for work and time for yourself. If work gives you more time, work hard for it. But when you already have the chance to have some rest give yourself a break. Our body is the foundation of our soul. If we lose our body, chances, we may never fulfill every single task we have to make.
Convincing is a strategy. Selling is a skill. In the world of Sales, both selling and convincing should go hand in hand. With the training that I have from my previous employment and with the skills that I have I believe I am very much capable of convincing other people. The very first thing that a sales person should do is to know the customer first. Knowing your buyer will somehow gives you the chance to talk to him and motivate him/her to buy your product. After knowing your buyer, you have to befriend your buyer. In that way, your buyer feels at ease with you. Well in the verse of dealing your products to your buyer, explain and show to him/ her that you really know the product and will somehow make him realize that he has to buy your product because he really desires to have that. With confidence and product knowledge and a little bit of experimentation in talking, rest assured, you can close the deal.
You have just read a part of me.I wrote this in answer to the questions given by friend. She needed to ask something for report or something.
